TRIBUTE TO RENATA ALMEIDA MAGALHÃES


Its particularly meaningful paying tribute to Renata Almeida Magalhães's contribution to the Brazilian audiovisual sector. Renata is an admirable woman, a professional who changed the history of Brazilian cinematography with films that have had a profound impact on the course of the audiovisual industry in the country and its presence on the global stage.

Renata is not only  a source of pride for all women in Brazil,  but also

a reference for all women in the sector. In addition, a producer who has made a difference and was elected the first female President of the Brazilian Academy of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts. 

We would like to express our gratitude for Renata's contributions and acknowledge her efforts in the class struggle and the search for policies that boost the sector as a whole. Her work focuses on the collective and one of the most active professionals in the sector. Her journey is emblematic spanning a multitude of films such as Quilombo, A Train to the Stars, Better Days Will Come, Tieta do Agreste and Orfeu, Cinema Falado, Dedé Mamata, Deus é Brasileiro, and numerous other titles that are relevant to Brazilian cinema.

With a track record that is worthy of commendation, Renata has worked with several leading figures in Brazilian culture, including Carlos Diegues, Caetano Veloso, Rodolfo Brandão, and Paula Lavigne.

A lawyer by training, Renata has dedicated herself exclusively to filmmaking, focusing on the production of institutional and feature films, commercials, and music videos, where she continues to surprise us with films that enchant our hearts.

On behalf of the Brazilian audiovisual community,  the Inffinito Brazilian Film Festival, proudly pay tribute to Renata Almeida Magalhães and express our immense gratitude for her unwavering dedication to Brazilian culture.
