Friends of the Festival.
Brazilian cinema is experiencing a vibrant and diverse moment, with growing recognition from the Oscars, affirming its role as a global player.
In this celebratory spirit, the 29th edition Inffinito Brazilian Film Festival arrives with a powerful lineup featuring concerts, screenings, tributes, and awards, while also opening new screens in Broward and Downtown Miami for Brazilian cinema in Florida.
This year, the festival will screen 63 films across 6 themed showcases, with in-person events in Broward (Deerfield Beach and Hallandale), Miami (Coral Gables, Miami Beach, and Downtown Miami), in addition our traditional virtual program on the inff.online streaming platform, accessible nationwide (in the U.S.)
The curatorial team—Adriana L. Dutra, Alexander Mello, Laura Fernandes, Liliana Kawase, Ricardo Cota, and Viviane B. Spinelli—has assembled a selection that reflects the most current in Brazilian filmmaking from 2024 and 2025. These works explore new languages, formats, and aesthetics, revealing Brazil's rich cultural diversity.
Music also plays a central role, with local group Miamibloco’s Bateria Saideira, and a special performance by ILÊ AIYÊ, an icon of Bahia's Carnival and a symbol of Afro-Brazilian resistance and representation. A true manifesto of strength, ancestry, and celebration.
This year, we are honored to pay tribute to the great actor Reginaldo Faria, who will be present at the Festival to receive the Crystal Lens - Lifetime Achievement Award during the awards ceremony. His latest film, “The Closer to the Sun, the Brighter” directed by Régis Faria, will be screened on the occasion. To complete the tribute, several of his classic works will be available (free in Brazil and the U.S.) on inff.online platform, highlighting his contribution to the history of Brazilian cinema.
We’ve reached our 29th consecutive edition—how exciting! Our special thanks to the audience, ambassadors Alexei Waichenberg, Laura Fernandes, Liliana Kawase, and Renata Garcia, sponsors, supporters, friends of the festival, and everyone who has been part of this journey.
